I cannot believe how much you read! I am trying to read more - I really love to read, but there are SO many other things that tug at my time!

I am reading things that will help me in raising the kids right now and also praying for the Hubby. Eventually, I will get back to some other types of reading too!

Nice to see that you are blogging! I confirmed with TCC who you were (I was right in my guess!)

I just finished a great fiction book called Return to Me (author's name escapes me...it could be Angela Hunt). It is a modern day prodigal son story (only she's a daughter) and what I liked most was the perspective of the older sister and the struggle with jealousy and criticism that God works out of her. I saw a little bit of me in this character and I hope God continues to work it out of me, too!

I doesn't matter how much you used to read you still read way more than me now. I am interested in the sci-fi you were talking about. I like books that are thought provoking and make you ponder.

Hmmm...what I am reading?!? Does it count that I have a small pile of books that I want to read? :)

Right now, awaiting me is...

The Language of God by Francis S Collins (borrowed from Hands-free hearts hubby), 6 Big Big Angels by Mary Jo Pennington (borrowed from my mom) and Rescued by John Bevere (borrowed from my mom). There are also 3 more books upstairs that are on this same list.

Right now...most of my 'free' time is spent on MIA. Maybe I will get to actually read these things sometime soon.

I enjoyed reading these reviews, and I know I can come back here when I'm ready to pick up another book.

In some stages of my life, I really like to read. I find it hard to get through entire books these days, especially novels. But I still do enough reading (blogs, magazines, etc.) basically anything that is a short read. If I start reading a book and then wait a week to pick it up, I have to reread, or I stumble onward and then have to page back through to remember what had already happened!

I also read nonfiction, as I find those easier to set down and come back to later. The last book I actually finished reading was "What's so Amazing About Grace" by Phillip Yancey. The best thing in that book was the fear of God it invoked in me as it explained the whole idea of deliberate sin thinking that it's okay because grace & forgiveness would be just around the corner. Intriguing.
