To-Do Tuesday, The Christmas Countdown Continues

in Getting Organized

For anyone who may not have seen this meme before, To-Do Tuesday was started by Lisa @ Crazy Adventures in Parenting for the purpose of attacking our to-do lists each week, blogging about our lists and what we’ve got going on, and sharing it with each other to help keep each other accountable.

We had a wonderful time at the Autism Society Christmas Party on Sunday. The only difficult part was the raffles; Michael was so upset not to win anything. I need to remember to talk with him ahead of time about these. Later that day my husband surprised me with a early 40th birthday party when I thought we were going to a friend’s house for dinner. It was very nice – I had a great time and was so touched that he did that for me.

I’m sure he got some great pictures of everything, but I just haven’t had the time to post as much as I would like to lately. I’m still hyper-focused on getting everything done for Christmas. Once we get all the family gifts mailed and delivered, it will be smooth sailing for the rest of the holiday season.

December 13-19

Finish handmade items (just one part left).

Finish up shopping (just a couple of things still to get).

Mail boxes to my family.

Wrap gifts for Bob’s family.

Send gifts in to school for Michael’s team. This didn’t happen because I ran out of the treats I had made and I hadn’t gotten to the other project I wanted to do. Instead I just wrote notes in Christmas cards to his teacher and his case manager.

Bake items to take into work.

Pack and get Michael’s food together for this weekend.

Celebrate with Bob’s family on Saturday/Sunday.

December 20-26

Finish any shopping/wrapping for our gifts.

Bake items for neighbors and have Bob deliver on the 24th.

Write up rules for use of the Wii.

Plan menu for holiday/vacation week and do grocery shopping.

Finish planning open house for after Christmas.

What are you doing to celebrate the holidays this year?

Wow, girl I don’t know how you do it. I make list but I lose them. I scared to put them online but maybe I should. Happy Birthday and Merry Christmas.

Wonderful list. I haven’t created this weeks (as I’m sure you know why). I really need to, though. I just can’t bring myself out of this funk. Someone needs to kick me in the hindside, Christmas is next week.

Happy 40th — you youngin’! What a nice hubby to surprise you.

I love your item about writing up rules for the Wii. My son is getting a couple of new DS games for Christmas and I have to remember to do that myself. Preteaching rules around here. Without it we’re dead in the water.
