I hope everyone had a nice Fourth of July. We enjoyed hanging around the house so everyone could relax and do whatever they wanted and then went to see WALL-E in the evening. Very cute movie, and the Little Guy even sat pretty well through the whole thing.
So anyway, here’s Crazy Sam’s questions for this week:
1. In a social setting, are you more of a talker or a listener? I am more of a listener in general, especially if I don’t know the people well, but I will talk a lot if I am comfortable in the situation.
2. Do you take compliments well? I am better than I used to be as just saying thank you and not trying to downplay them. I appreciate someone making the effort to say something nice and know that I don’t want them to brush it off if I compliment them.
3. Did you ever go to camp as a kid? Yeah, I went to the Assembly of God church camp several times, both during elementary and high school. I remember it being a lot of fun, although I was very insecure socially and there were definitely painful moments as well.
4. What was your favorite game as a kid? I loved playing Canasta with my mom, and my family all liked to play board games (such as Life, Monopoly, Sorry and Stock Market).
5. If a sexy person was pursuing you, but you knew the person was married, would you go for it anyway? Absolutely not. Didn’t we already cover this last week??
6. Use three words to describe yourself? serious, introspective, analytical
7. If your house was on fire, what would be the first thing you grabbed? I am assuming my son falls under the category of person, not thing, so I will say my purse. Not very exciting or sentimental, but it would be helpful to have my bank card and phone/address book. My main goal would be getting everyone out of the house!
8. Do you look like your mom or dad? More like my mom. My dad and youngest brother look alike, sound alike and are both right handed. My other brother and I look and sound more like my mom and are all left handed. Pretty weird.
9. Anything big ever happen in your hometown? The most exciting thing to us kids growing up was when the carnival came to town each year. We saved up our change so we could go on rides and enjoy ourselves.
Historically, a couple of attractions are the Black Hawk State Historic Site, which is at the site of the principal village of the Sauk nation, and the Rock Island Arsenal, which was a Union army prison camp for captured Confederate soldiers during the Civil War.

Grabbing my purse would be a good idea! LOL I have a lot of important stuff in there.
great answers.
thanks for checking out mine.
Canasta is a game that my son and I learned how to play last year. It’s our game that we play together. No one else in the family knows or wants to know who to play.
