No, Really, Where Is She?

in 5 Minutes for Special Needs,Daily Life

Anyone out there as stressed out as I am? I know I have been AWOL this week online – it’s just been one of those times when you have to step back from everything for a little bit. I have had something planned every morning this week, which makes it hectic but also forces me to get away from the house and the computer and interact face-to-face with other people.

Yesterday we had the pleasure of visiting with one of my son’s former support people; she is doing very well in her new job and it is so nice to have the relationship continue as a friendship. This morning we are going to meet another friend and her two boys at the play area in the mall – something we have been trying to plan for months!

If you really want to hear more about how I have been feeling lately, I poured it all out over at 5 Minutes for Special Needs.

Okay, I’m going to get some chocolate now – have a great Friday everybody!

I’ve been stressed out this week as well (IEP yesterday) and haven’t been blogging much either. I think it was time for me to step back and take time for myself. I hope you do that too! ((hugs))

I had wondered where you were! Hope your next week will be less stressful.

I have kept in touch with Cs old social worker. It is nice when it becomes a friendship as it shows that it is more than a job to them and they do care.
Enjoy your chocolate!

I have pics of all former therapists and volunteers, but have never heard from any of them once they leave. It would be nice but I realize they have long and odd hours and might not even keep info on former families. That is nice you are able to do that and find time to hang out with other families.

I once tried to get hold of Ricki’s first PT–I wanted to give her the pleasure of seeing how well she walks. But she’s moved and disappearred…..

Oh, what would we do without good ol’ chocolate? (Besides being less fat…)

Glad that you’re taking time for yourself. This motherhood thing—what a racket. No benefits. No hazardous duty pay. No automatic chocolate delivery. Wait—that last one is a good idea… :)

I already posted a reply at 5minutes but I really wanted to say that I understand.

Take all the time you need. We’ll be here when you get back!

And if I can figure out automatic chocolate delivery, you are first on my list!
