He Gets That From His Father!

in My Little Guy

I was blessed with a couple of hours at home this morning due to the snow causing a two-hour delay. At one point, I was working on selecting pictures to order online for a couple of Christmas gifts, and Michael came in to the room and wanted to take some pictures with the camera.

Of course, the first thing he did was turn it towards himself and take a shot. I say “of course” because my husband is notorious for taking lots of pictures of himself at weird angles and zoom levels. Speaking of which, the zoom was the next thing he found and he had a great time with that – he thought it was so funny to see things close up like that.

As I rarely take many photos and usually don’t do a very good job when I try, it is nice to have another budding photographer in the house!

Check out more great pics at Special Exposure Wednesday and Wordless Wednesday.

My kid does stuff like this all the time. It’s always an adventure to look through the camera when I find it in a different place then where I left it.

Here’s one spree:

Great job, Michael. I wonder if Mom keyed in on this great Christmas present idea?! :)

Have a great holiday. Maybe Michael can capture it in pictures and create a scrapbook page or two of his own?

Love the self portrait. My kids do the same thing. When I download my pics, I always find various close ups of things like chairs and pets.

I love his self-portrait! Great job on the other photos too…

I once caught Bitty taking pics of himself with one of his brothers’ cameras (they got kid-cameras for Christmas one year). He was little (not quite 2) and didn’t realize he was taking pictures, just seemed to really get a kick out of the flash going off in his face whenever he pushed the button, lol. I was hoping for some cute pics of him but apparently it was close enough w/ the flash that they didn’t come out :/. As for my older boys, when I downloaded their pics I found a lot of random things around the house, lots of the cat, and even one of Bitty getting a diaper change, lol. It’s interesting to see their perspective and what catches their eye :) .
