Autism Twitter Day

Bonnie Sayers at Autism Family Adventures is putting together an Autism Twitter Day on Tuesday, December 16th. This will be a day for people on Twitter who are affected by autism to promote positive autism awareness through tweeting and sharing links to your experiences, autism information, and things that have helped you.

You can find more details and RSVP for Autism Twitter Day here. Just be sure to put your Twitter URL on the Mr. Linky and not your blog.

Anyone can participate by following the #ASD hashtag at www.summize.com. There will also be three panel discussions and opportunities to win prizes throughout the day. See you there!

Should be good. I hope everyone can focus on the positive autism awareness like you mention. Far too many of us can get way too caught up in how difficult things are sometimes. Look forward to it.

That is a really amazing thing. I’m not such a regular on Twitter, but I will be there on the 16th, thanks for the heads up.

    Hi Trish,

I’m replying to an email you sent. I tried sending it by email, but I got delivery failure notification, so I decided to go this route instead. Just a reminder, I asked if you wanted to share Michael’s story on my site and you asked if I wanted to be involved in Try this Tuesday….

    Hi Trish,

thanks for your comments and for supporting the site! It’s really new and I always get so excited when anyone tells me they like it – it makes me feel like it’s worth my time and like it was a good thing I listened to the spiritual naggings that prompted me to create the site.

Anyway, I’d love to participate in Try This Tuesday. I’m a novice at best, when it comes to handling special needs issues. I literally take one moment at a time and just do my best. but my daughter’s therapists tell me I have some of the best ideas of tools to use for helping developmental delay. I’m also a big advocate of music therapy which is kind of under the radar at this point. If you’d like me to divulge more on either or both of those ideas for 5MFSN just let me know how to go about it and I would love to!

To do Michael’s story we could go about it several ways (and definitely after the holidays, I’m with you there). If you’ve already written a story on a blog or elsewhere, you can share that with me (and pictures, I love pictures). Or we could do a phone interview, which I also love, so I can get to know you better. Or you can look at the attachment I sent and just fill that out on your own time and email it to me (again, along with pictures) and I’ll format it into a story that flows.

So just take a peak at the attachment when you have some time and let me knwo how you want to go about it. My phone number is 801-209-0096 or email me at kidzorg.blogspot@gmail.com.

    Thank you! And Merry Christmas!
    Tara
